Alex Tagliani Long Beach GP report
Race: 4 of 17, Ryan Hunter-Reay wins the Grand Prix of Long Beach
FAZZT Race Team driver Alex Tagliani was forced to retire from Sunday’s Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach following a contact on lap 65 of the 85-lap event. Starting from the fourth row, Tagliani and Marco Andretti made contact on the opening lap, but both continued.

Formula 3 Euro Series in front of the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden
Next weekend, drivers in the F3 Euro Series will be contesting their 3rd and 4th season rounds

At the occasion of the DTM pre-season launch, the Formula 3 Euro Series also presented itself this weekend to a 110,000 strong crowd. For the first time, the event took place in the city of Wiesbaden. The premiere was a huge success. In bright sunshine, the Formula 3 Euro Series was represented by Marco Wittmann (Signature) and the teams Motopark Academy and Prema Powerteam.

McLaren drivers free to race – Whitmarsh
” In the end, we allowed them to race each other freely, which was a bit nerve-wracking.”
Unlike Red Bull and perhaps also Ferrari, McLaren’s two drivers are free to race when running first and second. Red Bull’s Christian Horner admitted in Shanghai that when his drivers are dominating, the actual wheel-to-wheel racing ends at the first corner.

US GP boss George spotted in Shanghai
There has been an interesting sighting in the Shanghai paddock this weekend.
Tony George was CEO of the former US grand prix venue Indianapolis Motor Speedway until he resigned last year. He is credited with bringing F1 back to America in 200 on a novel road course inside the fabled Indy 500 oval, and until he stepped down was keen to pen a new race promotion deal with Bernie Ecclestone.

It was a historic day for the Cytech UAE Touring Car Championship, which held it’s first ever races at the iconic Yas Marina Circuit on Saturday 17 April 2010, as part of Round 7 of the series.
