Stoner sets early pace in Jerez (+Top 10)
Dean Stoneman secured his maiden F2 pole in the first qualifying session in Marrakech, the Briton running well throughout to eventually finish just over two tenths clear of the rest of the field.

Stoneman tops final Marrakech practice
Briton continues impressive form to finish fastest in second session
Dean Stoneman put in an accomplished performance to finish fastest in the final free practice session in Marrakech, the Briton bettering his own benchmark several times as he topped the timesheets for much of the 30 minutes of running.
The extension of China’s formula one contract beyond 2010 may not be as simple as was recently suggested by Bernie Ecclestone.

Dane sets late benchmark to seal top spot in F2′s first street circuit session
Johan Jokinen topped the timesheets in an enthralling first practice session around the streets of Marrakech, the Dane setting a series of blistering laps late on to capture top spot five minutes from the end of the session.

McLaren most reliable team, Sauber at bottom of pile
Drivers’ and constructors’ championship leaders McLaren are also winning the race as F1′s most reliable team.
The British outfit, whose Jenson Button leads the drivers’ table by 10 points over Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg, completed every single lap with both MP4-25 cars at the initial Bahrain, Australian, Malaysian and Chinese grands prix.

Ferrari rejects ‘subliminal’ cigarette branding reports
Ferrari has rejected reports that it is running illegal subliminal advertising on the livery of its 2010 formula one car.
A report in the British newspaper The Times this week said the UK government has been urged by health experts to investigate the ‘barcode’ branding on the F10 that resembles the cigarette packaging of Ferrari’s sponsor Philip Morris.

Hakkinen to become Hamilton’s new manager soon – report
Hakkinen won his two world championships with McLaren and retired in 2001.
Rumours have intensified this week that Mika Hakkinen could soon become Lewis Hamilton’s manager. In the wake of the McLaren driver’s professional split with his father Anthony, 25-year-old Briton Hamilton has been perusing offers from potential managers.
Michael Schumacher’s age and family could be counting against him as he struggles back to full speed in formula one. 
The track is currently unusable, after renovations for the financially failed bid by former leaseholder Simon Gillett to host the British grand prix ceased. Apr 30
The Ducati Xerox team leaves Misano in a positive state of mind
Noriyuki Haga rode alongside his team-mate Michel Fabrizio
Warm conditions at the Misano World Circuit allowed the Ducati Xerox squad to carry out two day’s worth of work on track today and yesterday, with positive results. Despite battling against flu and a high fever, Noriyuki Haga rode alongside his team-mate Michel Fabrizio and both demonstrated a fast pace.

ACT 2010 post season awards top $100,000

The American Canadian Tour (ACT) will celebrate twenty-five years of sanctioning and managing stock car races in 2010, and the quarter century old sanctioning body will award its race teams with over $100,000.00 in post-season awards. This will mark the first season the various point funds have topped the century mark.

Michael Lewis sponsor team set for 2010 Formula BMW Europe season

The sponsors will join American Michael Lewis as he competes with the Eurointernational team in the 2010 Formula BMW Europe series, which kicks off in just one week at Barcelona, Spain, May 8–9. All of the 2010 Formula BMW Europe race events will be held in conjunction with Formula 1 race weekends except Rounds 3 and 4 in Zandvoort, The Netherlands.
