Rally Islas Canarias, confirmed as a new addition to the Intercontinental Rally Challenge calendar
The rally is set to attract a strong entry when it runs for a 34th time from 29 April-1 May. In addition to a host of local drivers and those who will travel from the Spanish mainland, Peugeot UK has confirmed it will send a 207 Super 2000 for its defending IRC champions Kris Meeke and Paul Nagle, while Irishmen Daniel Barry and Martin Brady are planning to take part in the same Mitsubishi Lancer they used on Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo in January.

As Lara’s crash shortens session in Star Mazda Action
Andersen Racing’s Anders Krohn posted the best results for Palmetto, Fla.-based Andersen Racing Saturday morning during qualifications for the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear, which is appearing at the St. Petersburg street course for the first time ever.

Development driver to run in Star Mazda Series
The FAZZT Race Team announced that development driver Maryeve Dufault will be driving in three Star Mazda Series events over the course of the 2010 season. Maryeve will begin her season at the Star Mazda test at O’Reilly Raceway Park on May 5 and 6 and then run the Night Before the 500 on May 29 at O’Reilly Raceway Park, the Iowa Speedway event on June 20 and the event at Trois-Rivieres on August 15.

Every Pserra Racing driver finished in top 10 during final weekend
The Ontario based Birel team of Pserra Racing had an incredible final weekend in the 2010 Florida Winter Tour. “I am really happy – and proud – of the way our team performed,” said Pserra Racing owner Peter Serravalle. “This performance is a great way for Pserra Racing to start off the year.

In Indy Lights Series
Walker Racing and Jonathan Summerton have put together a last minute agreement for Jonathan to race in Indy Lights at the 2010 Indy Grand Prix at St. Petersburg this weekend. This deal positions the team and Jonathan as a force to consider for all the other teams. In his first race in Indy Lights with a similar deal last year Jonathan took his car to a 2nd place in the first race and came from 16th to 4th in the second race.
