Dakar Stage 9: Copiapo to La Serena (+ map and summaries)

354 km, but with a timed section of only 170, are on the menu for the 9th stage

McLaren promotes Hamilton’s race engineer

Lewis Hamilton’s race engineer has been promoted.

McLaren to launch MP4-25 before Valencia debut

McLaren’s 2010 car will reportedly be unveiled the week before it makes its test debut in Valencia at the beginning of February. The British team announced a week ago that the MP4-25 will join the action in the hands of Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton at the first group test of the pre-season at the Ricardo Tormo circuit. USF1 not asking to sit out early 2010 races

“I can’t say any more than that we will definitely be on the Bahrain grid.”

Team sources have denied suggestions that USF1 has asked to be excused from the opening races of the 2010 season. According to Italy’s Gazzetta Sportiva, the American team has requested dispensation to sit out the flyaway rounds Bahrain, Australia, Malaysia and China in March and April, and instead make its formula one debut the following month in Barcelona.
