Alex Tagliani spent this week in Indianapolis working out of the newly completed FAZZT Race Team shop. The team moved in to the 25,000 square foot race shop 30 days ago and took delivery of all of its race equipment and chassis at the same time.

Eight rounds in the 2010 season
The GP3 Series is proud to unveil its inaugural race calendar. Eight rounds have been confirmed for the 2010 season, seven of which will support the FIA Formula One World Championship. The season goes green in Barcelona where Formula One kicks off its European season.

Compass360 Racing (C360R) released details on its second season-long driver pairing
In GRAND-AM’s Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. Longtime GRAND-AM competitor David Thilenius will share the team’s No. 74 Honda Civic Si with Lawson Aschenbach. C360R won all three GRAND-AM Street Tuner championships (team, driver and manufacturer) in 2009, and these signings represent the commitment the team has in its championship defense.

Fresh from a highly competitive debut season in the LMP1 class of the Le Mans Series, 25-year-old driver Pierre Ragues has secured one of the most prestigious drives in the championship for 2010. The Frenchman has extended his contract with the highly-regarded Signature team, who were recently confirmed as Official LMP1 Partner of Aston Martin Racing for next season.

With six wins, thirteen podiums and a ninth grand prix title, Valentino Rossi is top MotoGP rider of 2009
Another year, another title for Valentino Rossi, the most successful motorcycle rider of all-time notching up a ninth grand prix crown in 2009. Proving once again that he is always the safest bet for title predictions before the start of the season, Casey Stoner may have stolen the headlines in testing and Jorge Lorenzo snatched the initiative in the early rounds, but Rossi was the ultimately the man to beat over the course of the year.
According to German sources, even though Nico Rosberg is currently the only confirmed Mercedes driver for 2010, his race engineer will be Jock Clear. 
Bernie Ecclestone does not expect two of F1′s four new teams to actually race in 2010, according to the Times newspaper. 
Nelson Piquet has revealed that his plans for the 2010 season will be known “very soon”. 
Former F1 driver Alex Yoong has slammed Petronas’ decision to become title sponsor to the Mercedes GP team. Yoong, who contested 18 grands prix for Minardi in 2001-2, has joined the new Malaysian-owned Lotus team as its head of Asian driver development. 
Citroen Junior World Rally Team driver Sebastien Ogier is hoping a strong season in 2010 will lead to a drive with Citroen’s manufacturer team as early as 2011.
