Schumacher and Mercedes GP have reached a ‘verbal agreement’
The German media is reporting that Michael Schumacher – the most successful driver in F1 history – and Mercedes Grand Prix have agreed terms that will see the record-breaking seven-time world champion return to the grid 2010, in what is being described as ‘one of the greatest comebacks in sports history’.
Lotus looks set to announce that Jarno Trulli has been signed for the 2010 season. Citing a person with apparent knowledge of the three-year deal, the Associated Press said the Italian’s contract will have an option to leave the team at the end of each season. 
Michael Schumacher, his spokeswoman and his doctor on Sunday refused to comment on intense speculation the 40-year-old is set to return to the formula one grid in 2010. Dec 13
