An agreement covering the years 2010-2014
Octane Racing Group Incorporated (Octane), of Montréal, is proud to announce that it has reached an agreement with Formula One Administration Limited and Formula One World Championship Limited (together the F1 Commercial Rights Holder) to act as promoter of the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA as a round of the FIA Formula One World Championship in each of the years 2010 to 2014.

Kimi Raikkonen’s likely switch from formula one to the World Rally Championship with Citroen in 2010 is moving ever closer. The French marque’s rally boss Olivier Quesnel said in an interview at the weekend that the reports about the 30-year-old’s rally plans for next year are inspired by “more than a rumour”.

Conway eyes Mercedes GP race seat
Brawn/Mercedes should have “fought” to keep the 2009 driver lineup for next season, according Rubens Barrichello. The Brazilian veteran’s teammate this year was the 2009 world champion Jenson Button, and together they collected 8 victories for the Brackley based squad as well as the constructors’ title.

When the 37-year-old Austrian’s new minority share of the Grove based outfit was recently announced, Williams declined to declare the precise percentage figure that is now owned by Wolff.

Michael Schumacher has kept alive the speculation about his possible full-time return to formula one next year with Mercedes GP. At a Brazilian kart event at the weekend in Florianopolis, the 40-year-old refused to reject the reports about his becoming Nico Rosberg’s 2010 teammate.

Theissen not staying in F1 with Sauber
Contrary to earlier reports, it has emerged that Sauber will be missing from the FIA’s forthcoming provisional 2010 entry list. The specialist publications Blick and Auto Motor und Sport report that, in order to avoid a $150m fine for not honouring the Concorde Agreement, Toyota is instead looking to hand over its team entry to Serbian outfit Stefan Grand Prix.

Two weeks work experience at top international sports car team on offer
At the Inside Motorsport Race Car Engineering Seminar, one aspiring young race engineer who attends the Inside Motorsport Race Car Engineering Seminar at the Silverstone Innovation Centre on 4-8 January 2010 will be offered two weeks work experience with a leading international sports car team – and work with that team at the Silverstone 1000kms.
