Drivers face finale with uncertain futures
A lot is up in the air
The chequered flag will wave on the 2009 season on Sunday, but the fates of several drivers are still uncertain. 2007 world champion Kimi Raikkonen, having agreed to terminate his Ferrari contract to make way for Fernando Alonso, is linked with a move to McLaren or Toyota, but is believed to have run into trouble in terms of his wage demands.

While some are winding down after a long karting season, Trevor Wickens and Frank Menotti have just taken the wraps off of their new kart racing team and distribution program. Wickens brings 13 years of experience to the team starting years ago tuning for his brother, Robert, who is now a driver on Team Red Bull and is ranked second in the points in the Formula Two Championship.

Anthony Hamilton joins football management foray
Involved with 2mb International Soccer Management as an advisor will be Anthony Hamilton
Two names associated primarily with formula one have united for a foray into the world of professional football. Former grand prix driver Mark Blundell, already with a driver management company 2mb, has expanded the business to include the handling of soccer players.
The Leicestershire circuit had inked a 17-year contract to begin hosting formula one in 2010, but has failed to come up with the necessary funding for renovations. Oct 29
Trulli and Sutil resume row two weeks after Brazil
After fiercely arguing trackside at Interlagos
Then in the stewards’ room, hostilities resumed between Jarno Trulli and Adrian Sutil in the FIA press conference on Thursday. Two weeks after they clashed at the start of the Brazilian grand prix, resulting in a fine for the “aggressive” Italian veteran Trulli, the pair openly rowed for the benefit of the international media at Abu Dhabi’s new Yas Marina Circuit.

THP Spider Cup winner tested the 908 HDi

They were practically the only words on Grégory Guilvert’s lips following his test at the wheel of the 908 HDi FAP at Le Castellet, in the south of France, on Wednesday October 28. After wrapping up the 2009 THP Spider Cup ahead of the final round, Grégory Guilvert travelled to Le Castellet where he took time to observe the team’s test work with the 908 HDi FAP before making his own contribution to the programme.

Alexander Rossi to race in Abu Dhabi for GP2 Asia opener

Alexander Rossi will make his GP2 Asia series debut this weekend at ‘Yas Marina Circuit’ in Abu Dhabi. The 18-year-old from Nevada City, California, will pilot the 550bhp GP2 Dallara-Renault Asia series car for the Ocean Racing Technology (ORT) team, owned by former F1 driver Tiago Monteiro.
Nico Rosberg told reporters on Thursday that this weekend’s Abu Dhabi grand prix is his last of 70 races for the Williams team. 
According to a rumour in the paddock of the DTM series finale in Hockenheim last weekend, Brawn could be set to benefit from more than just an intensified relationship with Mercedes-Benz in the future. 
Another piece of good news has emerged from the French formula one team Renault in the wake of the damage done by ‘crash-gate’. 
The 57-year-old German’s career at BMW dates back to the late 70s, and he has overseen the carmaker’s formula one and motor racing activities for more than a decade. Oct 29

As it continues to expand its presence across the United States, the GP Kart line added yet another new kart shop to its program with the addition of Corrida Karting. The new shop, which is opening in Neenah, WI, will be owned and operated by Joe and Wende Sturm. In conjunction with GP Kart importer Rocky Mountain Kartworks and St. Louis area dealer Crockett Motorsports, this new combination is setting its sites on making a huge impact on the karting scene in the Midwest.

World Speed wins the Racing Driver’s Club 50th Annual 4-Hour Endurance Race
Team also secures the Formula Atlantic Championship the same weekend
This past weekend at Thunderhill Raceway Park World Speed Motorsports competed in the first endurance race of their 18 year history. “A four hour race is about eight times longer than our usual sprint race,” noted Team Owner Telo Stewart.
