Spinal Injuries Association celebrate 35 years with the help of Williams F1
300 VIP guests at the stunning East Wintergarden
To help celebrate the 35th anniversary of the national charity the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA), the AT&T Williams team has agreed to feature the charity’s logo on either side of the AT&T Williams driver helmets of Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima that will be worn during the inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on 1 November.

Davide Valsecchi storms to victory (+results)
iSport racer takes control of the GP2 Asia Series
Dominant since the beginning of the opening round of the third GP2 Asia Series in Abu Dhabi, Davide Valsecchi took an impressive first victory for iSport International today in the feature race at Yas Marinal Circuit. Losing the lead twice, the Italian fought back to reclaim it and managed a 5.4 second gap at the chequered flag to countryman Luca Filippi.

Heidfeld now on pole for McLaren seat – report
Nick Heidfeld has emerged as the leading candidate
To become Lewis Hamilton’s McLaren teammate in 2010, according to a leading German newspaper. Bild-Zeitung claims the 32-year-old “suddenly has the best chance” to replace Heikki Kovalainen, after Kimi Raikkonen and Jenson Button were also touted for the seat.






Lewis Hamilton provided the crowd at Yas Marina some qualifying excitement as he waited until the very last moment to snatch pole position for the inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Bernie Ecclestone has hinted at the identity of Bruno Senna’s teammate. The Spanish team is yet to announce the second driver, amid reports of flagging negotiations with its preferred appointment, Pedro de la Rosa.
The Brazilian will make his formula one debut with the new Spanish team in 2010. By making a post to his Brazilian fans on his Twitter page, the 26-year-old confirmed that the Senna name is set to return to formula one 16 years after the death of his famous uncle.
