Valtteri Bottas (ART Grand Prix, 0:41.438 minutes) claimed pole position for the 13th season round of the Formula 3 Euro Series at the 1.929 kilometres long Brands Hatch Indy circuit. In his qualifying group, the Finn emerged fastest from Alexander Sims (Mücke Motorsport, 0:41.548 minutes).
Andy Soucek recorded an emphatic pole position for race one at Oschersleben today (Friday), producing an inspired lap to finish more than three tenths of a second clear of the rest of the field.

Brawn joins McLaren in bidding for Rosberg

The championship-leading Brawn GP team has reportedly made an offer to the German driver Nico Rosberg for 2010. But 24-year-old Rosberg, who currently drives for Williams but is eyeing a more competitive seat after four years with the British team, is more likely to become the first German to drive a works Mercedes since 1955, according to Bild newspaper.
