Prema Powerteam Red Bull Ring preview

Prema Powerteam round 09 race preview

Prema Powerteam Red Bull Ring previewThe Austrian round of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship is ready to go underway at the technical Red Bull Ring venue in Austria,  and after the challenging previous round at Nürburgring, the Italian squad is looking forward to be back in the hunt for wins and podium finishes to hold onto the lead in the team championship.

In terms of the driver competition, Maximilian Günther is currently sitting second in standings. The quick German driver is determined to reverse his late fortunes and remain in the hunt for the title. Not too far away in points, Callum Ilott is close to third place and has four wins to his name this season. Running on a track that already saw him take a win last year, he is aware of his driving potential.

Despite the bad luck he encountered back in Germany, Chinese Ferrari Driver Academy racer Guanyu Zhou clearly belongs to the front end of the pack and will be once again fighting for podium finishes, while for Mick Schumacher, who delivered some amazing comeback runs at Nürburgring, the goal will be to do well in the rookie ranks and score valuable overall points.

René Rosin – Team Manager
“We are back on-track after a difficult round at Nürburgring, and despite the short time available, we worked hard to get back to our full racing form for Red Bull Ring. The goal is to see Maxi and Callum fight for wins again and possibly improve their championship positions, while I’m sure there will be great chances to impress for Mick and Guanyu. Their contribution will be key to maintain the lead in the team ranking.”
