Change in the management of ITR GmbH

A change in the organisation of the DTM touring car race series

DTM logoAchim Kostron is the new managing director of ITR GmbH. The 42-year-old is taking over from Florian Zitzlsperger (42), who had supported the ITR in the restructuring and has led the organisation since June, 2016.

With responsibilities ranging from event organisation, television and promotional rights to ticketing, marketing and communication, ITR GmbH is the central organisation unit of the popular race series.

Zitzlsperger had effectively advanced the strategic repositioning, the organisational restructuring as well as the marketing of the series. One of the milestones in these activities is the television rights tender of DTM, which has been carried out successfully.

“I would like to thank Florian Zitzlsperger for his commitment. He has set decisive courses for the repositioning and therefore the future of the DTM,” says Gerhard Berger, chairman of the board of ITR e.V.

Zitzlsperger says: “I want to thank the team of DTM for the joint efforts and support over the past two years of reorganization, initially at AUDI AG and then at the ITR. I am delighted that I have been able to make my contribution in this decisive phase and I wish the DTM a successful future in the rapidly changing motorsport landscape.”

Achim Kostron, the new managing director of the ITR, was previously working as a consultant for Horváth & Partners management consultants in the automotive industry. In the past weeks, he has already been working together closely with Gerhard Berger and the ITR team.
