Eastern Canadian Rally Championship: “Crazy Leo” wins the 2017 Rallye Défi !

It was also the seventh round of the 2017 Eastern Canadian Rally Championship (ECRC)

2017-09-09-1956Held this weekend in and around Montpellier, in the Outaouais region of Quebec, The Rallye Défi celebrated the twenty-fifth edition and its thirty-fifth anniversary since  inception.

Two from two for BMW Team France and CMR at Nevers Magny-Cours

Piguet-Johais on top again at the former grand prix venue

Tribaudini-Petit claim second consecutive AM win. BMW Team France has capped a perfect GT4 European Series Southern Cup weekend at Circuit Nevers Magny-Cours with Julien Piguet and Fred Johais claiming a second win in as many races aboard the #9 BMW Ekris M4 GT4. The AM FFSA GT championship saw repeat winners as well, as Stephane Tribaudini and Michael Petit combined for another class victory for Classic & Modern Racing’s #111 Ginetta G55 GT4. Ranger and Team Mopar finish top-ten at St. Eustache 

Lucas Oil 250 presented by Bumper to Bumper and Coors Light at Autodrome St-Eustache

2017-09-09_0160Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team looked for more success during round number 12 of the 2017 NASCAR Pinty’s Series this past Saturday night at the Autodrome St. Eustache just outside Montreal, Quebec.  However a racecar that was a handful for the driver left prevented a better result. A Fighting Fifth for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin

2017-09-09_0186After qualifying his #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Groupe Bellemare car seventh on the short St-Eustache oval, the Trois-Rivières veteran worked his way up to fifth place early in the race. Louis-Philippe then defended his position with decisive driving of his less-than-perfect car for over 200 laps of this next-to-last race of the season.

Raising the stakes fearless Marquez equalises at MisanoParity at the top as the number 93 takes win number four, and in the wet – going equal on points with Dovizioso. Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) took his fourth win of the year in a high stakes duel at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, with the conditions torrential and the top three in the title fight lining up for the challenge on the front row.
