Summer Challenge at Shannonville Motorsport Park - 10th Anniversary special event for CTC The Summer Challenge on July 16-17 marks the half of the season for CTCC presented by Continental Tire. As CTCC celebrates its 10th season, this edition of the Summer Challenge will showcase added content and festivities.

Among the series participating in this special edition of the Summer Challenge are: Miller’s Oil Formula 1200 series and Toyo Tires Formula 1600 series. In addition, the GT Invitational will feature a reunion of TouringGT championship competitors. TouringGT ran from 2003 to 2006 and is the predecessor to CTCC. Michael Thornley, a TouringGT champion has accepted to act as Grand Marshal.

“The Summer Challenge is going to be a fabulous event.  We have a nice mix of race groups and we expect to see some tremendous competition. The barbecue will be a highlight of the event as we celebrate our series success,” mentioned John Bondar, President of CTCC.

For its fourth outing and very special occasion, CTCC will be featured in a tripleheader event. All classes are participating.  To celebrate this important milestone, the Summer Challenge participants are invited to attend CTCC’s 10th anniversary BBQ featuring our special Chef: Gary Grant. Our guests will certainly be delighted by Gary’s unique recipes.
