In the same category as his brother Louis-Philippe
In the same category as his brother Louis-Philippe, GTD, the Quebecer will be behind the wheel of the #44 Porsche 911 GT America on the starting grid of this prestigious event on Saturday, January 25 at 2:30 PM.
The Porsche 911 GT America is a brand new car for Magnus Racing, however, these last few years, this top-of-the-line team has proven itself on the track. The expertise of Jean-François Dumoulin (double champion of this event in 2004-SGS-class, and 2007-GT class), coupled with that of his teammates, John Potter, Andy Lally, and Loup Henzler who have all known at least one victory in this 24-hour event, let us anticipate a race that’s high in competition and performance.
“I was contacted early this week by the Magnus Racing team, and the agreement was reached Thursday night. I’m very happy to participate in the 24 at Daytona with them. Especially since I know a few members of the team and I’ve already raced with Andy Lally in the past, this will be fun”, shares Jean-François Dumoulin with enthusiasm. “The trials resume on Thursday, January 23rd and I’ll have to adapt to the car quickly and be ready to race.”
Jean-François Dumoulin will participate in the 24 at Daytona for the ninth time in his career. He rose above the pack multiple times on this track using his high capacity of endurance and his perseverance, which are essential abilities to have in an event that requires constant tenacity and vigilance.
The 52nd edition of the Rolex 24 at Daytona and for the first time in the context of the Tudor United Sportscar championship will start on Saturday, January 25 at 2:30 PM (ET.).
