At Donington, qualifying
Narain Karthikeyan (Super Nova International) cruised to a spectacular pole at Donington in qualifying for the penultimate round of the 2013 AutoGP season.
The Indian racer handed the Sears family a great home result as they held onto a stunning record of five straight poles started at Budapest. In addition to that, like at the Nurburgring, it was a full front row domination for Super Nova with Vittorio Ghirelli finishing just 97 thousands of a second off the overall lead.
The Italian is looking forward to impress on Race Day and to close the gap as soon as possible.
In Row 2, Ghinzani Motorsport replicated the good results scored in practice by taking third and fourth with Kevin Giovesi topping his team-mate Robert Visoiu by 0.014s.
The Romanian is set to leave nothing unattempted tomorrow. Once again, Row 3 will be shared by the two top championship contenders as Ibiza Racing Team’s Sergio Campana edged Euronova Racing’s Kimiya Sato to the last top-5 spot available.
In 8th place, Hungarian Tamas Pal Kiss placed his Ibiza Racing Team-prepared car in front of Roberto La Rocca, driving for Comtec by Virtuosi. The top-10 was rounded out by Daniel De Jong (MP Motorsport) and Andrea Roda (Virtuosi UK).
Two red flags stopped the session due to some off-track exits by Michele La Rosa (MLR71) and Meindert Van Buuren (MP Motorsport).
Teams and Drivers are now set for the two races of the weekend, which will be taking-off tomorrow at 9:50 AM and 16:10.
