An action-packed weekend at home for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin was the victim of two collisions

2013-08-11_0868Louis-Philippe Dumoulin is known for his perseverance and tenacity, on-track as well as off-track, and he demonstrated it once more this weekend on the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres circuit.

Second on the starting grid of the “JuliaWine.com 100” behind the wheel of the #47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare Dodge, the Trois-Rivieres native has fought until the very end of the event, despite the incidents that caused him to lose places.

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin was the victim of two collisions that forced him to make two pit stops in order to fix the car’s body (rear bumper and hood). The WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare team’s work has been remarkable. Back on the track and trailing behind, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin has managed to pull himself back to eleventh place.

“We had everything in place to end up on the podium; qualifications went well, allowing us to start the race in second place. The battles fought on-track are part of racing, and a fourteenth place finish was not what we were expecting for. Both incidents cost us, and I only had one objective in mind, gaining as many positions as possible”, explains the Dumoulin Competition driver. “The season is not over, there are still four races to go and the objective remains the same.”

Next event on oval track – “Wilson Equipment 300”

On Saturday August 17th, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will once again be on the track behind the wheel of the #47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare Dodge for the ninth race of the season on the Riverside International Speedway (Antigonish, N.-S.). Currently fourth in the standings, the Quebecer is counting on the experience and expertise of Tyler Case (crew chief) and the mechanical team to pull himself back up to the top-3 in the championship.

The whole year, the teams have been preparing to offer the best possible show during the season for the partners, fans, friends, families, and media that encourage us and believe in us.
