The eni FIM Superbike World Championship riders will be on track tomorrow
The 7th round of the season at Imola saw a good number of WSBK riders, representing all manufacturers involved in the Championship, taking part in the Pre-event press conference, explaining their point of view and expectations on the weekend’s race on the iconic and challenging Italian track.
A slightly late arrival Championship leader Sylvain Guintoli (Aprilia Racing Team) joined Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team), Marco Melandri (BMW Motorrad GoldBet), Jonathan Rea (Pata Honda World Superbike), Jules Cluzel (FIXI Crescent Suzuki), Carlos Checa (Team Ducati Alstare) and one-off returning hero Noriyuki Haga (Grillini Dentalmatic BMW) before they all headed to the new museum of the circuit, named after Checco Costa, one of the founding fathers of the track and also a well-known race promoter and organiser.
The museum, that will officially open in 2014, was designed and created to enhance the great history of the Italian venue (which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year), contains an extraordinary collection of motorbikes, as well as Ayrton Senna’s Williams Formula 1 car and the push bike on which Vittorio Adorni won the World Championship at Imola in 1968.
The eni FIM Superbike World Championship riders will be on track tomorrow for Day 1 of Round 7 at Imola.
