In front of his partners, family and supporters, the driver of the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Bellemare has led the race brilliantly, fighting patiently and strategically alongside the contenders.

“A first win in NASCAR Canadian Tire, it’s fantastic ! said Louis-Philippe Dumoulin. We had a great weekend. Thanks to the mechanical team who prepared a very competitive car and especially our WeatherTech.ca/Bellemare partners who allowed me to win the race”, he shared.

Second on the starting grid (best lap time in the second test session Saturday, May 18th) at the Pinty’s Vortex Brake pads “200″, the Quebecer was confident of leading his #47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare in the lead position. “After few laps, I was confident, the car was very fast, I knew I was able to fight for the top position by taking the right decision,” said the champion of the event.

The pit stop strategy has paid off to maintain the efficiency of the #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Bellemare until the end. “My crew chief Tyler Case was on top of everything”, mentioned the racer.

“The strategy was the early stop for the fuel before the caution comes up, and when the caution did come out, we only stopped once for the tires and that’s was the key. Everybody else has to stopped twice after that and that give us back the lead. LP did a great job working in the traffic, he was patient with the slower cars and never looked back”, explained the spotter Warren Jones.

As the winner of this race, Dumoulin Competition’s leitmotif reveals all its meaning “Passion-Performance-Partnerships.” This is the result of several years of hard work, tenacity and mainly in all forms of professional collaborations. “This victory also belongs to all those who have been supporting us for so many years”, shared Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.

The WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare team has scheduled a practice session in early June to test the second car (oval circuit). Louis-Philippe Dumoulin (Watkins Glen today and tomorrow as a driving instructor) and Dumoulin Competition are ready for the second race of the season that will be held at Delaware (Ont.) on June 15th. “It is the beginning of the season, and I stay focused on my goal : the Championship.”
