The Sauber F1 Team is kitted out for any weather thanks to new Official Partner Wikland
Over the coming years, the Swiss company will be supplying the Hinwil-based squad with highly functional team clothing. Wikland, who’s logo will be visible on the Sauber F1 Team’s clothing and equipment with immediate effect, has been manufacturing functional workwear for over two decades.
“Wikland has maintained a successful presence in a competitive marketplace for over 20 years, just as our team has established itself in Formula One,” said Monisha Kaltenborn, Team Principal of the Sauber F1 Team. “The link-up with Wikland means we are able to welcome another Swiss partner to the Sauber F1 Team. In this case, that doesn’t just mean quality, tradition and innovation, but also close geographical proximity – which makes logistics significantly easier. We look forward to a successful partnership.”
“We’re delighted with this partnership because both companies embody similar values, like ‘Swissness’, innovation, precision and quality,” said Tomi Wüthrich, Marketing Director (CMO) of the ALBIRO group. “Wikland will work closely together with the Sauber F1 Team and test our clothing in the full range of weather conditions as it travels around the world. Wikland clothing combines maximum functionality with unbeatable wearer comfort, so the Sauber F1 Team can concentrate all its efforts on the cars and races. The two partners are currently working closely on a Wikland Sauber F1 Team workwear collection.”
The company’s focus is centred very much on the people who wear its products and their well-being in the workplace. Wikland work clothing is comfortable and technical.
As a member of Fair Wear Foundation and BSCI, ALBIRO actively promotes fair wages and safe working conditions in all Wikland production companies. Wikland is part of the Swiss ALBIRO group, a family company based in Sumiswald for over 185 years, which produces the work and sportswear brands Wikland, marsum, ALBIRO, Bailo, Silvy and Frencys.
