Superstars, GTSprint International Series announce dates for the last two rounds of 2012

Rounds at Pergusa, Sentul to highlight 2012 finale alongside Vallelunga

Superstars International SeriesSuperstars logoThe series’ debut at an additional Italian venue, located in Sicily, has been postponed after being originally scheduled for mid September. As a consequence, the 2012 finale at Sentul has been pushed forward to the November 25 weekend.

FG Group is poised to announce dates for the two final meetings for the 2012 International Superstars and GTSprint Series :

  • Autodromo di Pergusa, Enna (I) 27th – 28th of October;
  • Sentul Circuit, Jakarta (RI) 24th – 25th of November.

The series’ debut at an additional Italian venue, located in Sicily, has been postponed after being originally scheduled for mid September. As a consequence, the 2012 finale at Sentul has been pushed forward to the November 25 weekend.

After being brought back to full glory in 2011, ending a six-year break, Pergusa is now ready for one of its most anticipated events of 2012, the “42nd Gran Premio del Mediterraneo”, featuring the powerful, 500+ horsepower cars of the Superstarsand GTSprint International Series .

The round at Pergusa will be for both the International International Superstars and the GTSprint Series . It will also serve as a grand finale for GTSPRINT, as well as for the Italian ACI-CSAI SUPERSTARS Championship.

The Superstars International Series season will finish off with a sensational grand finale in Indonesia. In the spectacular venue provided by the city of Jakarta and on a renowned track that recently hosted championships like the A1 Grand Prix and the GP2 Asia Series. The last time around, victory went to Sebastien Buemi, who successfully moved to Formula 1 shortly after.

An outstanding battle is already on the cards with five car brands still in contention: the Mercedes C63 AMG of F.1 Champion Vitantonio Liuzzi is currently on top in the standings followed by the Audi RS5 of Johan Kristoffersson and the BMW M3 E92 of Thomas Biagi.

The 2012 International Superstars Series is preparing for an outstanding sprint to the finish and is ready to provide its fans with plenty of excitement to round out a rich and spectacular season.
