Octane Management inc., promoter of the NAPA auto parts 200 presented by Dodge and FLAIR Management, Image, Conseil, are happy to announce today that the young and talented singer from Quebec, Marilou, has been given the responsibility to sing both the Canadian and American national anthems during the ceremonies preceding the NASCAR’s Nationwide series race, on August 18th at the Gilles-Villeneuve circuit.
The 21 year old singer-songwriter behind the huge radio hit single Wake Me Up On Friday, taken from newly released album 60 Thoughts A Minute, will also be present during Discovery Day on Thursday August 16th alongside race car drivers from Quebec, to meet the fans.

Marilou’s career started at the age of twelve when she performed Je serai là pour toi, with world renowned opera star Gino Quilico. Two singles from her album La fille qui chante (2005) went #1, Chante and Tu es comme ça (duet with Garou). In 2007, Danser sur la lune, Emmène-moi and Un monde en amour from the album Marilou also climbed to the top of the charts. Marilou will be present at NAPA Auto Parts 200 presented by Dodge « Discovery Day », a free event open to all on Thursday August 16th at the Gilles-Villeneuve circuit, from 2 :30 to 3 pm, to meet fans of all ages during an autograph session after the meet and greet with the race car drivers happening between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
