For 2012 Season
Bryan Herta Autosport’s 2012 season continues to gain momentum as the team proudly announces a multi-race sponsorship with Motegi Racing, beginning with this weekend’s IZOD IndyCar Series season opener on the streets of St. Petersburg, FL.
The partnership reflects Bryan Herta Autosport’s focus on strength, stability and performance, both on and off the track. Last year’s Indianapolis 500 winning team is looking forward to another banner year with full-time driver and Series veteran, Alex Tagliani.
“We’ve known the Motegi Racing team for awhile now,” said team owner Bryan Herta. “The partnership makes sense because both of our brands reflect solid performance and integrity. Being surrounded by such a quality group of partners is great for our team.”
Motegi Racing sponsors championship winners and opinion leaders in key racing disciplines. The company’s experiences in professional motorsport help to develop the quality and performance of the Motegi Racing product line.
“Bryan Herta Autosport is an organization that Motegi Racing believes in,” says Jody Groce, president of Wheel Pros, the company that owns the Motegi Racing brand. “We like their attitude and they’re proven winners – it’s exciting to work with a team like that.”
Alex Tagliani’s #98 Team Barracuda – BHA DW12 car will have three practice sessions before IndyCar qualifying starts on Saturday at 1:55 p.m. ET. Pre-race activities start Sunday at 12 p.m. and the green flag drops for the Honda Indy Grand Prix of St. Petersburg at 12:30 p.m. Fans across the country can catch all the action as the competition is broadcast live on ABC.
