No FIA consequences for convicted Sutil – manager

Adrian Sutil’s manager on Tuesday said the German driver is free to return to formula one.

Suspended sentence, fine, for guilty Sutil

A Munich court on Tuesday found Adrian Sutil guilty of grievous bodily harm, wire news services reported.

2011-06-09_0290The former Force India was on trial for attacking Lotus team executive Eric Lux in a Shanghai nightclub last April. The court imposed an 18-month suspended jail sentence and ordered the 29-year-old to pay EUR 200,000 to charity, the BBC, Associated Press and Reuters said.

Ecclestone involved in Petrov’s race seat quest – manager

F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone got involved in Vitaly Petrov’s quest to stay on the grid this year, the Russian driver’s manager has revealed.

McLaren plays down link with Pollock’s Pure

McLaren has played down reports its cars could be powered by engines produced by Craig Pollock’s new venture Pure in 2014.

Adrian Sutil offered to drive for Lotus this year with a discounted retainer, it emerged on Monday.

Adrian Sutil on Monday said he is “extremely sorry” for hurting Lotus executive Eric Lux last year.

High mileages for the Auto GP teams in Valencia

Sunday was the last day of the three-day private test that four Auto GP teams arranged in Valencia.

Auto GP - Valencia Auto GP logoAfter that the second day of running was ruined by the rain, the teams found themselves with a track that was considerably slower than on Friday, and also had to face a strong cross-wind that proved to be quite disturbing for the drivers. Despite not being able to improve their laptimes, the four outfits made the most of the sessions to work on the car set-up and to give more track time to their rookies.

Villeneuve says Andros ice-racing series ‘rigged’

Pirelli denies favouring Ferrari in F1

Pirelli has denied it works too closely in formula one with fellow Italian marque Ferrari.
