Atlantic Championship Series launching for 2012

A six-round, three-event Championship is planned for 2012.

The Series will be run in conjunction with the highly successful F2000 Championship Series and F1600 Formula F Championship Series, sanctioned by SCCA Pro Racing.

Michelin and Yokohama, the official tyre partners of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, have celebrated another year of success in the IRC.

Tyre firms celebrate year of IRC triumphs

French firm Michelin helped Andreas Mikkelsen to the IRC drivers’ crown, its fifth in a row, and SKODA to the IRC manufacturers’ title while the Japanese Yokohama organisation celebrated IRC Production Cup glory with factory Subaru driver Toshi Arai.

Hulkenberg not fussy over 2012 teammate

Nico Hulkenberg has admitted he will be “delighted” if his “long” wait to return to the grand prix grid finally ends on Thursday.

jailed for speedboat crash death

Former F1 driver JJ Lehto has been sentenced to jail.

The ex Sauber and Benetton racer was charged with the manslaughter of his friend after it was found he was driving a speedboat when it crashed into a canal bridge pillar in his native Finland last year.
