Pserra Racing ran a total of five different classes all supported by the Pserra Racing Birel trackside program and using Pserra Racing Rotax power. With six top tens, two podiums, one win and all drivers running in all finals, the team showed depth and organization.

“I’m happy with the start of the FWT for our guys. We did a good job and know we can improve some more for round two,” comments Peter Serravalle, owner of Pserra Racing. “Our team will be double in number for round two at Palm Beach so it was important to score well in round one and make sure we are focused on winning races.”

Michael Vincec hit the track in two classes, Rotax DD2 and Rotax Senior, handling the pressure like a veteran. In Rotax Senior, Vincec was able to grab an 8th place finish in Saturday racing action coming from dead last after he was knocked out on lap 7 of the prefinal. On Sunday Vincec would then make it two straight top ten finishes by grabbing the7th place on spot in the day two final. Vincec now sits sixth place in points heading into round two.

In DD2, Vincec would run well in Saturday action and showed excellent speed in taking second place at the end of the day one main event. On Sunday he would post the fastest lap in timed qualifying to grab pole position.

While leading the prefinal a mechanical problem would put him last in the order an dforce him to sart from the back row for the final. While the prospect for a podium was dim, Vincec stormed forward to take the lead just past halfway and seal the win for Pserra Racing.

Toronto native James Vance-Lousada took on a strong 24-kart Rotax Max Masters field with tuning support from veteran wrench Wrex Roth. Vance-Lousada was able to grab 7th spot in Saturday day one action his first races in Senior Max making the move over from DD2. Vance-Lousada would match that effort with a 7th on Sunday to end the weekend with two solid top tens in his Rotax Master debut.

Pserra Racing presented two drivers in the ultra quick Micro Max class.

Antonio Serravalle

Making his first kart racing start, Antonio ran very well in the 32-kart field. Antonio being the youngest their showed some talent in his Friday practice qualifying time put him in mid pack with16 overall. Antonio brought home an 18th on Saturday and a 21st place finish on Sunday.

Serravalle ran well, mixing it up and having a great first race. Also in Micro Max, Mitchell Boyd, ran very well grabbing a 17th on Saturday and repeating that position on Sunday to sit 18th in points heading into round two.

“Vincec really shines when you add more speed, shifting and front brakes. It’s like he has an extra gear,” smiles Serravalle. “The entire team is very motivated and we are looking for more strong results in the next round.”
