Vitaly Petrov to race for the Renault F1 Team in 2010 (+photos, updated)

Renault F1 Team presents the R30 in Valencia

2010-01-31 - Renault R30 - Robert Kubica - Eric Boullier - Vitaly PetrovThe 25-year-old will become the first Russian to compete in Formula One when he makes his Grand Prix debut in Bahrain in March. He joins the Renault F1 Team off the back of a successful GP2 career having finished as the Series runner-up last season.

24 Hours of Daytona: Porsche Riley n°9 victory (+photos)

Joao Barbosa, Mike Rockenfeller, Ryan Dalziel and Terry Borcheller win the 2010 Rolex 24.

Vitaly Petrov will almost certainly be named as Robert Kubica’s 2010 teammate on Sunday.

Reports with multiple sources last week said the Russian GP2 driver is set to make his F1 debut in 2010 with Renault. On Sunday, the 25-year-old – who is heavily sponsored but also highly rated after finishing F1’s feeder series behind Nico Rosberg last season – arrived at Valencia’s Ricardo Tormo circuit. Audi has revealed the signing of three new drivers as it looks to reclaim the Le Mans 24 Hours title in June. 2010 DTM calendar: 10 races in five countries

Just as it has been the case last year

The 2010 season of the most popular international touring car series again will comprise 10 races. The rounds of the 2010 season will be held in four European and one Asian country. Traditionally, the season will be kicked off at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg: on 25th April, the German GP circuit will be the venue of the first battle for 2010 DTM championship points.
